Malam Tahun Baru Datang Lagi

Antara respon yang menarik ialah;
Ada pula yang berkata;
Yang lain pula berkata;

Tetapi jangan lah berlebih-lebihan pula.

(Rujuk Al-Madkhal al-Fiqhi Al-‘Am, Syeikh Mustafa Az-Zarqa, 2/885 ;Syarh alQawaid al-Fiqhiyyah, Syeikh Ahmad Az-Zarqa, ms 219).

Terdapat satu keadah lain berbunyi : " Innama tu'tabaru al-‘Adat iza attaradat aw ghalabat "

Disertakan write out tentang tujuan demo itu diadakan.
Atas kepercayaan Complete @ VPM Malaysia mereka memohon agar JIM/PACE menyertai demo di hadapan keduataan mesir esok hari Isnin 28 Disember sekitar t.hari.

How To Get Maher Zain`s CD

I feel that I am very fortunate to own Maher zain`s cd so early after its release.Alhamdulillah.
All praises to Allah for giving me this chance.
I stumbled into Maher Zain by accident through Facebook one day.Fell in love with his songs the first time I heard it.Although most of them were only snippets.
Then one day while browsing through a friends page on Fb I read that his friend offered to buy him Maher`s cd.I instantly befreinded this friend of his who is currently studying in Australia. His name is Ahmad Ammar Ahmad Termizi.A Malaysian from Johor studying in Melbourne.
He offered to order the cd for me and I agreed instantly although I had some doubts on how on earth will the cd arrive in my hands since he is soooo far away.
And I even asked him why would he trust me since he doesn`t even know me(he was going to order and have the cd sent to me,then only I pay him though at that I time I wasn`t even sure how to pay him).
He said since I`m the Head of the Womens Section at WAMY he didn`t doubt me.
Well that was nice.Ahaks
So he posted mine with his friend`s cd( son of my friend ) and I picked it up at his house. And another was posted to my office directly.
So that was how I got my cd.
Since many have asked me how to get it,I asked Ammar how he ordered it and this are the steps he told me. He only charged me RM60.00 for a cd order plus postage.
  1. Get your credit/debit card ready (I you don`t have one borrow from someone)
  2. Go to http://www.awakening.org/store/
  3. Add to basket
  4. Proceed to checkout
  5. Follow all the prompts (need to type in address, card no etc)
I hope you guys out there will do the same to get you own cd. Or if you have a friend or family staying in UK you can aske them to buy directly.
Of course there may be links to download the whole cd like many have done...but its not the same as owning it yourself is it? ^_^

How to Gain Khushu in Salah Dr. Mamdouh N. Mohamed Associate Professor at the American Open University

What is Khushu ?

Khushu during Salah is misunderstood by some people as crying and weeping.
Rather, it is the presence of the heart during an act of Ibadah.
When a persons heart is fully occupied of what he says or hears, he is in a true state of Khushu.

The concept of Khushu in Salah is very essential.

1- It is a vital factor in making a person successful in this life and in later life.

"Indeed, the believers, who have Khushu' in their Salah, are the winners." [Noble Quran 23:1-2]

2-It is a contributing factor for the acceptance of Salah.

3- It is a way to gain more rewards from the Almighty Allah; the more the Khushu a person has, the more rewards he gets.

4- Without Khushu the heart cannot easily be purified.

Ways to Gain Khushu

A. Pre-Salah

1- A Muslim should know his Lord very well. Knowing whom one worships makes a person a better worshipper. Having clear and authentic knowledge about Allah increases His love in our hearts. Consequently, faith also increases.

2- Avoiding major and minor sins is very helpful in gaining Khushu, as the heart becomes more receptive to the words of Allah during and after Salah.

3- Reciting the Quran frequently and consistently softens the hearts and prepares it for Khushu. Hard hearts do not gain Khushu.

4- Minimize attachment to worldly matters. Gearing ones intentions towards the Afterlife helps against the temptations of life.

5- Avoid excessive laughter and useless arguments as they harden the heart and lead to heedlessness.

6- Stop working as soon as you hear the Adhan. When you listen attentively to the call of Salah repeat after the muezzin then offer the relevant supplication. This prepares you for a smooth transition from the business with worldly matters to the business with Salah.

7- Performing Wudu immediately after hearing the Adhan prepares you for the pending Salah. Wudu also works as a buffer zone before engaging in Salah.

8- Going to the mosque early for praying and continuing mention of Allah drives Satan away and help gain concentration.

9- The waiting time for the congregational Salah helps create a buffer zone between the state of mind before Salah and the state of during Salah.

B. During Salah

1- The Iqamah itself is a final signal to the mind to be well prepared for performing the actual Salah. Remember what the messenger of Allah said to Bilal "Let us enjoy the comfort of the Salah."

2- When you stand facing the Qiblah remember the following:
a. It might be the last Salah in your life. There is no guarantee to live longer to catch the next Salah.

b. You are standing between the hands of Allah, the Lord of the worlds. How can you be busy with something else?

c. The angel of death is chasing you.

3- Do not forget to make Isti`azah. It wards off Satans whispers.

4- Keep your eyes focused on the place of Sujud. This helps you gain more concentration.

5- When reciting the Fatihah, try to recall the response of Allah to you after every Ayah you say. (When you say: "al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alamin) Allah responds: "My servant praised me." etc. This feeling of speaking to Allah puts you in the right mood of Khushu.

6- Beautifying the recitation of the Quran has a positive impact on the heart.

7- Recite the Quran slowly and reflect upon its meaning deeply.

8- It is recommended to change the Surah that your recite from time to time to avoid the mechanic-like state of repetition.

9- Alternate between the various authentic Sunan such as proclaiming a different opening supplication in every Salah.

10- Undoubtedly, understanding Arabic helps you focus on the intended meaning.

11- Interact with the recited Ayahs;

a. if you hear an Ayah about Allah, glorify Him by saying "Subhanallah";

b. If you hear an Ayah about Hellfire,
say "Audzu Billahi Minan-Nar".

c. If you hear a command to make Istighfar, do it.

d. If you hear an Ayah that requests Tasbih, make Tasbih.

12- These forms of interactions are very helpful in keeping you focused.

13- When you prostrate, remember that this position brings you closer to Allah. Seize the opportunity to make sincere Duaa.
Invest these moments in making sincere supplications.

C- Post-Salah

1. When you make Taslim, make Istighfar to Allah as you might have made during Salah.

2. When you praise Allah, thank Him from the bottom of your heart that you have experienced the beauty of Salah in your heart. Getting used to this habit prepares your for the next Salah, as you will always be eager to focus in your prayer.

3. One perfection leads to another perfection. If some one perfects his Salah once, he would be self-motivated to continue on the same level.

My Mak Tok

I have a grandmother from my mothers side.We call her Mak Tok.I think she`s about 78 years old.During her younger years she was very chubby. But as the years went by, my Mak Tok shrunk if I can say so.Since a few years back her legs were not strong as it used to be.But she could still move about.Walking while pushing the wheelchair infront of her.
In the past weeks the pain was quite strong but now it just got worse. She used to ask me to come by daily at my parents house so that I can read du`a for her.Maybe after I read the du`a with Allah`s grace the pain eased a bit.Or maybe because she just wants to see me.
I am her eldest grand daughter and I can say that I have always been close to her.Not that I seldom see her.I always dropped by.
Nowadays my Mak Tok fights with her pain every time she makes the slightest move. Its something to do with her bones it seems. My mum told me once that the doctors want to take out her bones and replace it with artificial ones.I`m not too sure why.But because of her old age she didn`t want to go through it.
She`s bed-ridden now.My mum has to put on pampers for her.Clean her up and dress her too.Since I`m the eldest and only daughter,I go and help her looking after my Mak Tok any time I can spare.I went to stay with her last night since my parents had classes that they`re attending to in UIA.After I had my Maghrib prayers,I cleaned her up,changed her pampers then helped her to change her dress.I have to be very patient with her since she can`t do things quickly so I let her take her time. Then I helped her to take her wudhu` and put on her prayers attire.I can`t deny that IT IS tiring. But my love for her and the feelings of responsability pushes me to do the best I can.
A few days after she couldn`t get up at all, while cleaning up the table my father came up to me and asked.
"So whats now?"
I said,"We can only wait and see.It can be one day.It can be one week.It can be one year"
"All we can do is give her our last best service. We have to prepare ourselves to face the unbearable"My father couldn`t agree with me more.Death doesn`t only near the old and the sick. But technically its sad to think that she is nearing hers.
Every time she sleeps me,my father or my mother would peep on her.Just like we used to do to our small ones when they slept. We had to make sure everything was alright.
One thing that I am proud of my Mak Tok is the fact that even though she is being tested by Allah, she always feel blessed. My Mak Tok never whines...
When she couldn`t walk anymore she said"Alhamdulillah...I can`t walk but I can still use my hands. Some people can`t even move their hands"
Everytime she succeeded doing something like turning to her side so that we can change her pampers she would say "Alhamdulillah..."Although she was in desperate pain when doing so.
I told her once that I`m proud of her for being so patient and keep saying Alhamdulillah.
And she said to me "Allah is testing me because HE wants me to remeber HIM"
SubhanaLLah...It sad to loose some one we love. But its also sad to see our loved ones suffer in pain.I don`t know which is worse.I just hope when the time comes for her to see her Creator, she will go in peace without any pain.
I love you Mak Tok with all my heart. And may Allah ease your pain.
Mak Tok a few months back

Thank You Allah-Maher Zain

I was so far from you
Yet to me you were always so close
I wandered lost in the dark
I closed my eyes toward the signs
You put in my way
I walked everyday
further and further away from you

Ooooo Allah, you brought me home
I thank you with every breath I take

All praises to Allah

I never thought about
All the things you have given to me
I never thanked you once
I was too proud
to see the truth
And prostrate to you
Until I took the first step
And that's when you opened the doors for me
Now Allah, I realized what I was missing
By being far from you

All praises to Allah

Allah, I wanna thank you
I wanna thank you for all the things that you've done
You've done for me through all my years I've been lost
You guided me from all the ways that were wrong
And did you give me hope

O Allah, I wanna thank you
I wanna thank you for all the things that you've done
You've done for me through all my years I've been lost
You guided me from all the ways that were wrong
I wanna thank you for bringing me home

All praises to Allah

The Chosen One-Maher Zain

In a time of darkness and greed
It is your light that we need
You came to teach us how to live

You were so caring and kind
your soul was full of light
You are the best of mankind

Peace be upon The Messenger
The Chosen One

From luxury you turned away
And all night you would pray
Truthful in every word you say

Your face was brighter than the sun
Your beauty equaled by non
You are Allah Chosen One

Peace be upon The Messenger
The Chosen One

I'll try to follow your way
And do my best to live my life
as you taught me
I pray to be close to you
On that day and see you smile
When you see me

Peace be upon The Messenger

Maher:
As I traveled through the earth
I can't help but notice
The symphony I hear all around
from the smallest grain of sand
to the faraway planets
to a flower put in roots in the ground
Every bird in the sky
Every rock and every raindrop
Says as it falls from the clouds
every ant, every plant
every breeze and all the seas
They all sing

Mesut:

Awaken-Maher Zain

We were given so many prizes
We changed the desert into oasis
We built buildings of different lengths and sizes
And we felt so very satisfied
We bought and bought
We couldn't stop buying
We gave charity to the poor 'cause
We couldn't stand their crying
We thought we paid our dues
But in fact
To ourselves we're just lying

Oh...I'm walking with my head lowered in shame from my place
I'm walking with my head lowered from my race
Yes it's easy to blame everything on the west
When in fact all focus should be on ourselves

We were told what to buy and we'd bought
We went to London, Paris and Costa Del Sol
We made sure we were seen in the most exclusive shops
Yes we felt so very satisfied

We felt our money gave us infinite power
We forgot to teach our children about history and honor
We didn't have any time to lose
When we were.. (were)
So busy feeling so satisfied

I'm walking with my head lowered in shame from my place
I'm walking with my head lowered from my race
Yes it's easy to blame everything on the west
When in fact all focus should be on ourselves

We became individuals without a soul
despite the heat
Our homes felt so empty and cold
To fill the emptiness
We bought and bought
Maybe all the fancy cars
And bling will make us feel satisfied

My dear brother and sister
It's time to change inside
Open your eyes
Don't throw away what's right aside
Before the day comes
When there's nowhere to run and hide
Now ask yourself 'cause Allah's watching you

Is He satisfied?
Is Allah satisfied?
Is Allah satisfied?
Is Allah satisfied?

Oh..I'm walking with my head lowered in shame from my place
I'm walking with my head lowered from my race
Yes it's easy to blame everything on the west
When in fact all focus should be on ourselves

Hold My Hand-Maher Zain

I hear the flower's kinda crying loud
The breeze's sound is sad
Oh no...
Tell me when did we become
So cold and empty inside
Lost a way long time ago
Did we really turn that blind
We don't see that we keep hurting each other no
All we do is just fight

Now we share the same bright sun, the same round moon
Why don't we share the same love
Tell me why not
Life is shorter than most have thought

Hold my hand
There are many ways to do it right
Hold my hand
Turn around and see what we`ve left behind
Hold my hand my friend
We can save the good spirit of me and you
For another chance
And let's pray for a beautiful world
A beautiful world I share with you

Hold my hand....

Children seem like they've lost their smile
On the new blooded playgrounds
Oh no...
How could we ignore
heartbreaking crying sounds
And we're still going on
Like nobody really cares
And we just stopped feeling all the pain because
Like it's a daily basic affair

Now we share the same bright sun, the same round moon
Why don't we share the same love
Tell me why not
Life is shorter than most have thought

Hold my hand
There are many ways to do it right
Hold my hand
Turn around and see what we`ve left behind
Hold my hand my friend
We can save the good spirit of me and you
For another chance
And let's pray for a beautiful world
A beautiful world I share with you

No matter how far I might be
I'm always gonne be your neighbour
There's only one small planet where to be
So I'm always gonna be your neighbour
We cannot hide, we can't deny
That we're always gonna be neighbours
Your neighbour, my neighbour
We're neighbours

So hold my hand
There are many ways to do it right
Hold my hand
Turn around and see what have left behind

So hold my hand
There are many ways to do it right
Hold my hand
Turn around and see what we`ve left behind
Hold my hand my friend
We can save the good spirit of me and you
For another chance

Always Be There-Maher Zain

Allahu Akbar…
If you ask me about love
And wanna know about it
My answer would be
It’s everything about Alla
The pure love, to our souls
The creator of you and me,the heaven and whole universe
The One that made us all and free
And he`s The Guardian of HIS true believers

So when the time gets hard
There’s no way to turn
As HE promise HE will always be there
To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy
Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there
HE’s always watching us, guiding us
So when the time is hard
There’s no way to turn
As HE promise HE will always be there
To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy
Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there
HE’s always watching us, guiding us
And HE knows what’s deep in our heart
So when you lose your way
To Allah you should turn
Coz as HE promise HE will always be there…

HE brings us out from the darkness into the light
Subhanallah capable of everything
We should never feel afraid of anything
As long as we follow HIS guidance all the way
Through our short time we have in this life
Soon it`ll all be over
And we’ll be in His heaven and we’ll all be fine
So when the time gets hard
There’s no way to turn
As HE promise He will always be there
To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy
Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there
HE’s always watching us, guiding us
And HE knows what’s deep in our heart
So when you lose your way
To Allah you should turn
Coz as HE promise HE will always be there…
Allahu Akbar…
So when the time gets hard
There’s no way to turn
As HE promise He will always be there
To bless us with HIS love and HIS mercy
Coz, as HE promise HE will always be there
HE’s always watching us, guiding us
And he knows what’s in all in our heart
So when you lose your way
To Allah you should turn
As HE promise HE will always be there…
Allahu Akbar…

Past Secrets

I went to my sister`s-in-law`s house last eid.Got kinda bored and asked my niece if I could borrow one of her or her siblings many novels. She gave me two novels to choose from. One in Malay. The other in English.I chose the one in English.Haven`t read any English literature lately and just felt I need to brush up my English a bit since its gone all old and rusty. It was a book by Cathy Kelly-Past Secrets.

Sounded interesting.Everybody has a past secret.Something they want to keep buried under the earth and never emerge to the surface of land. I read the back cover for a short sinopsis. It said ~They all hide secrets that won't go away. And only become harder to keep.I became more interested. So I started reading.Page after page after page.I didn`t have time to finish it all so I asked to take it home with me.I didn`t get to know what the secret was yet.And I was curious.Such a busy-body prying into other peoples life I thought. But it was only a novel.
Every free moment I had at home I was stuck reading it.It was a cross-generational contemporary romance set in Ireland, packed with high drama and the emotion to match.
Every page that I went through I tried to relate it to life.I mean,I should think thats where the author herself got the idea about writing it in the first place.
And I learnt a few things.
1.As parents we try so hard so that our offsprings lead a better life than us.We try to curb them from making the same mistakes that we`ve had done along the way.We want them to be better. To strive harder to fit in this ever so fast-changing-world we live in.
We make rules and regulations for them to follow by.We have high expectations on them.To be good.To excell. If possible we don`t want them to fall.We don`t want them to face any kind of injury so there won`t be any scars. We love them too much to see them in pain.To see them cry.We just want them to be happy.

But life is not about JUST being happy.
For the rainbow only comes out after it rains.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass BUT its about learning how to dance in the rain...
Thats the bitter fact that we must face...
We`ve got to let them try things on their own.Let them make their own decisions and take responsabilities for whatever they choose in life.
Let go...(Easier said than done though..but not impossible)
Accept the changes in them. Not just physically. But emotionally and mentally mostly.
Its not easy.My heart aches even at this moment typing this all down. But it is a fact that I`m trying hard and slow to swallow. But no matter how bitter this fact is...it has to be swallowed.
Maybe youngsters reading this will not understand what I`m blabbering about. But any parent will.At least I think so.

2.Past secrets...Its always good to share your life with the ones you love.To talk about your happiness and your sorrows. To have someone to grieve on your sadness. But sometimes there is a part of you that you want to be left hidden.Unknown to the people around you.
All I can say is after reading this novel is...If somewhere in life that you think that you come to a certain circumstances where you have to tell your loved ones about your past secrets, then have faith with your love for each other.Love conquers all.And time will almost heal all wounds.
But I also think that not all secrets should be shared.you CAN keep some to yourself for as long as it does not bother you or disturb your sanity.

There was a character in this story. In fact she was like the main role of the whole story. When she was in her mid thirties, married with 2 sons at that time, she accidentally met a man.he was her sisters boyfriend.Somehow the first time they met there was attraction between them.It just came at the instance they set eyes on each other. She told how just by being by him gave her a sensational feeling. That they were attracted to each other.
Somehow this feeling turns her to somebody more daring than the person she was.Like he had this power on her.And she was not the only one who felt that way.She inspired him too.I forgot to tell.He was an artist.
But she left him after realizing that things were`t going to happen between them. She loved her family too much to break their hearts even though at the same time she loved that man.And she kept it a scret for almost 30 years of her life.He went away so they never met.But when he knew he was coming back to her hometown, she became restless. They met.only for her to find out that he was dying and he had loved her all this while. He never married.Found many women like her but not actually 'like' her.You know what i mean.
She finally told her husband of the man and the short term relationship they had.
he was heart broken at first.but as much as she loved her husband and left the man,he too loved her dearly...

I started thinking after that...
The sparks of love that appeared between her and the man was for real. Both of them felt it.they lived it.
But no matter how real it was,it was`nt something real enough for a wife with kids to leave her family and run away.
The love was real. But not REAL!
What am I saying here?
I guess it just goes for us to consider...
What love really is?
