My 'Ramadhan' finally completed

Today is the 12 of Syawwal. That is correct right?

I think I must have counted days several times today. Maybe I was trying to reassure myself. To check that I have not miscounted.

But if today is the 12th of Ramadhan, and since I have started fasting on the second day of Ramadhan that means I have covered 11 day of fasting.
I have finally completed my Ramadhan!

What else can I say but Alhamdulillah!
Thanks to Allah for giving me the determination and the strength to finish these 11 days. I must say it wasn't easy at times. I have really been tested. And I have succeeded up untill now.

Now I have to have even more determination coz the next 6 days I plan to do my sunnah. Now to me that is even more harder.

When doing our wajib even when temptations are layed infront of us we can push them away coz we know its a sin to break our fast without a very strong eligible reason.

But doing our sunnah...well trying to keep on fasting when you know its not a sin to breakfast with all kinds of goodies layed infront of you at open houses can be rather challenging.

But as a very dear person to me said: Nothing is impossible with Allah's will.

So I will insya Allah wake up for sahoor tomorrow morning and do my fast. Even though it means I'm the only one fasting at home while preparing breakfast,lunch and dinner for everyone whos not fasting at home.

Allahu musta'an.






Yesterday someone special to someone special to me came over for a visit and brought me these beautiful cupcakes that I had for iftar. It was as good as it looks. Thanks a lot dear for going out of the way just to buy them for me and coming over. May Allah ease your way.
