Twins of Faith has passed.
The day before the event was cleaning-house-day.Had a lot of clothes to wash since we just came back from our vacation in Singapore.Besides that I wanted to clean the room Mak was stayed.It was so dusty.Took me a few hours before I got everything spic and span.After that it was cooking lunch and mopping and...and...The list doesn't stop for a Domestic Engineer does it?
Nadiah arrived around Maghrib to join me to ToF the next day. But by then I already planned to make bread.But we went out for dinner and came home quite late so I couldn't possibly start to make the dough then.So I made it to bed finally at 11.
But try to sleep when you plan to wake up early to do the cooking.You can't really sleep.So although I put the alarm clock at 4,I woke up at 2.20.tried to catch up some sleep but to my dismay I couldn't.Too sleepy to get up yet couldn't fall back to sleep.So when it was almost 4 I went to my department.I started by choosing a bread roll recipe.Got all the ingredients and started with the dough.When that was done I left it to rise.Then I started on my 'Kek Gula Hangus'.Mr. Hubby was going back to Kelantan that morning and I wanted to make the cake for my dear mum-in-law.she really loves my Kek Gula Hangus.After that I made a chocolate steam cake to take with me to ToF.It was going to be a long day and I wasn't sure how the food arrangements was.besides I was going to meet a few of my ex-students and thought I wanted to treat them.
Lastly I fried some bihun coz we were going out early and I'm sure nobody will have the time to eat before we leave.Brought some paper plates and plastic forks.Cooked everything just in time for Fajr prayers.
We were told to be at PICC by 7.But suddenly my husband asked me to send him to Subang airport.Honestly I felt like asking him to go by himself but I didn't have the heart to.So we speeded down the road to Subang airport.Alhamdulillah it only took us 10 minutes and from there it F1 racing straight to PICC.Alhamdulillah by 7.30 we arrived there and was just in time with the delegations of tags and shawls for volunteers.
I was assigned to the Workshop team were were assigned to take charege of registrations of participants to all workshops.I sent the girls and salman to the Kids Zone.usamah was somewhere in the lobby.
Around 11 my brother came to pick up the kids for Muna's birthday on Sunday.
It was rather busy for us at the workshop booth.Many participants were really interested to join but the seats were very limited.And I really hate to dissappoint them.So although on paper its already full,I will always tell them to come early and wait just in case those registerd are not there we will try to put them in.
Though it was tiring and we had to deal with many people I think it was worth while
By late evening only did I have time to really sit and hear a talk by Sheikh Bilal Phillips.But unable to sleep the night before plus exhaustion made me fall asleep half way through.Huhuhu.
The next day everything was rather slow motion for me.I just did rush myself.Took time to clean the kitchen and hang the clothes.Tasnim had joined us back the night before and with Nadiah they prepared breakfast.No baking cakes or anything that day.I was still tired.
We left the house at almost 9am.Of course arriving quite late.But the others covered everything.I was just in time for Dr. Harlina Siraj's talk.Whe she saw me she came over and hugged me and said she missed me.She really flatters me and I feel so shy but proud that she still rcognizes and remembers me.
Then I had to go to help with the Marriage fascilitation session.Now that was really interesting though we wasn't quite sure it would be handled.We started of with 117 sister candidates and only 12 brothers candidate.But I managed to persuade a few to join and other team members were able to add up the number.But when the actual time came we were really shocked to see the turn out.More brothers signed up at the last minute.
All the shuyukhs joined the session.And sheikh Alaa' leaded the way.he's been doing this a lot in Canada.
He called for 10 sisters and 5 brothers to a group.Some quetions were being asked and then the brothers would change groups.so in the end all brothers could see all sisters and vice versa.
I didn't stay till the end of the session coz I needed to assist registration for Wardina's workshop which turned out to be a real hit.So many participats wanted to get in but she wasn't feeling well and only wanted 100 participants to join her.But in the end we managed to squeeze in almost double the number.Hope she was OK with it.

All in all it was two days of refreshing exposure and charged iman, no doubt it was a great event.
But I have to admit I really wished that I was in the main hall more to hear from all the invited shuyukhs but I chose to be a volunteer so I have to fulfill my responsabilities.
Maybe next year I'll just be a participant instead.
But something I do not regret is the fact that I got to know with many awesome people especially those in our workshop team.It was only two days yet we all felt like family.

I was assigned to the Mercy Mission information centre on Saturday when we got news that Brother Boona was coming there to sell his CDs. So me and my 2 friends assisted him and also I facsilitate the autograph signing session.
